Important Notice Before You Call

At Shawn Taylor, Your Social Security Lawyer, we only accept Social Security Disability (SSDI) and SSI cases when representation is clear and undisputed.

If you are currently represented by another attorney or representative — or were previously represented in the same claim — please read carefully:

We cannot take your case unless your prior representative has withdrawn and signed a written waiver of any right to a fee.

If your current or former representative will not waive their fee, we’re sorry — we cannot represent you.

This protects your claim and prevents delays, confusion, and fee disputes.

What You Should Do Before You Call Us

1. Call your current representative.
Tell them you are ending their representation.

2. Ask one question:

“Will you waive your right to any fee in my Social Security case?”
3. If they say yes:
Ask for it in writing — a short, signed note that says:
“I waive any right to a fee in the Social Security claim of [Your Name].”
4. If they say no:
You may still end their representation, but we cannot accept your case.

5. Once you have the written waiver:
Send it to us, and we’ll review your case for possible representation.

    Why We Have This Policy

The Social Security Administration allows more than one representative, but each must file their own fee agreement or petition — a process that often causes delays and disputes.
To keep your case simple and strong, we work only with claimants whose prior representatives have waived their fees completely.
That’s how we ensure your case moves forward with one advocate, one fee, and one clear direction.
